Back in 2014, John McLendon — now co-founder of BJKK Caps and More — placed a simple Craigslist ad looking for overseas cap manufacturers. That one post changed everything. A talented partner named Thaat responded from Thailand, and within the first week they had built working relationships with three outstanding factories based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

For the next decade, John and Thaat supplied caps under the brand name of 360 Apparel. Together they built a direct bridge between U.S. customers and factory production — a model that continues to this day.

In late 2024, John and Thaat broke away from 360 Apparel to form BJKK Caps and More, carrying forward the exact same factories, expertise, and commitment to quality that fueled the success of 360 Apparel. John also brought Rick Tobert in as a partner to ensure BJKK could operate smoothly in the U.S. while John and Thaat manage factory relationships overseas.

My name is Rick Tobert, and I’ve been working with John McLendon(BJKK Caps and More founder) since October 2020. When I started, I knew nothing about the apparel industry — no background in embroidery, screen printing, or cap manufacturing. But I was determined to learn.

Over the past five years, I’ve immersed myself in every corner of the business: sourcing, decoration, pricing, customer service, factory relationships, and more. I’ve built long-term partnerships with factories overseas, worked closely with customers across the U.S., and helped produce over half a million custom caps. I’ve learned this industry from the ground up — and I’m still learning every day.

In addition to sales and product development, I also write and maintain all of our web systems myself — including the website you're viewing right now. I host our server right here in my office on an X-Finity high speed connection and on a secure Linux-based HTTPS setup that I built and configured from scratch. From front-end design to back-end databases, everything you see was created by me personally.

This technical foundation allows me to offer something unique to our customers: direct collaboration, real-time updates, and completely custom-built tools for ordering, quoting, cap visualization, and tracking.
